National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur conducts Spot admission for the vacant seats in MCA programme .

Candidates seeking admission to MCA programme at NIT Jamshedpur through spot round must be physically present

Seats will be allotted based on merit, following Govt. of India rules of reservation.

Procedure for spot admission:

Only the following categories of candidates, who are NIMCET rank holders, will be
allowed to participate in this spot round of admission to MCA programme.

Candidates who have filled their choices and did not get any seat in any round of NIMCET allotment so far.

Candidates who have surrendered their seats for final round of allotment of NIMCET-, but did not get any seat in the final round of allotment.

The following candidates of NIMCET rank holders are not eligible for the above spot round of admission.

A candidate who has already taken admission in some participating institute.

A candidate who has not reported for the seat allotted to him/her in some round (including final round) of allotment during the stipulated dates of reporting.

A candidate who has withdrawn from admission process by canceling his/her seat allotted.

A candidate who was declared not eligible for admission in to MCA upon verification of documents related to educational qualifications.

A candidate who has not filled the choices during the dates of choices filling

Original Documents-

In case a candidate gets a seat, he/she has to pay the institute fee and produce the following documents in original for verification failing which his/her seat allotment will be cancelled and that seat will be allotted to the next registered candidate in the list.

(i) NIMCET Rank Card

(ii) NIMCET Admit Card

(iii) SSC or X Class (High School) Certificate as proof of date of birth

(iv)Intermediate or 10+2 Class Marks Memorandum containing list of subjects passed and marks secured

(v) Intermediate or 10+2 Pass Certificate

(vi)Qualifying Degree Marks Statements from I semester/year to the recent semester/year.

(vii)Qualifying Degree / Provisional certificate, if degree is completed

(viii) Course completion certificate (for Candidates awaiting results)

(ix)Migration Certificate

(x) Transfer Certificate

(xi) Certificate of Category (OBC/Minorities/SC/ST Caste Certificate), if applicable, issued by competent authority.

(xii) OBC declaration, if applicable

(xiii) PD certificate in case of sub-category is PD i.e. Person with Disabilities

(xiv) Demand Draft for Institute Fee.
