M.Tech. Programme (common to all M.Tech Programmes):

Admission to M Tech Programme is open to Indian nationals who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination, Class X and Class XII / Diploma with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading
system, OR minimum 60% marks in the aggregate.

However, this prescribed minimum is a CGPA of 6.0 OR 55% marks in the aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

The allotment of seats for scholarship category is done based on GATE score and the admission process will coordinated by NIT Rourkela.

The seat allotment for M. Tech admissions is done through CCMT by NIT Rourkela.

Types of student status for M Tech. programme:
1) Full-time student on GATE-scholarship
2) Full-time sponsored student under QIP
3) Full-time sponsored student from Industry/other organizations/Educational Institutions.
4) Full-time non-sponsored non-scholarship student.
5) Internal Registrants - Sponsored staff of NITK or Project staff of NITK.
