Re: Statistical investigator in SSC

Every year SSC (Staff Selection Commission) conducts annual SSC CGL Examination for recruitment of candidates for different central govt jobs.

One of the many profiles on offer through SSC CGL examination is the post of Statistical Investigator (Gr II).

Posts are available in Statistical investigator in SSC:

Junior Statistical Officers
Senior Statistical Officer
Assistant Director
Deputy Director
Joint Director
Director
Deputy Director General
Additional Director General
Director General

Pay Scale
The Junior Statistical Officers or Statistical Investigator (Grade II) appointees will fall under the Pay Band 2 i.e. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200. The starting salary for JSO’s will be around Rs 30,000 per month.

Pay Scale: Rs. 9,300 – 34,800/-
Grade Pay: Rs. 4,200/-

Apart from the regular fixed pay, a Statistical Investigator also enjoys a bunch of perks, benefits and allowances.

DA on Total Pay above (around 107%)
Transport Allowance (TA)
House Rent Allowance (if not provided with quarters)

According to current pay scales, you would get a salary of around Rs. 30,000/- per month initially.
