Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (SET)
I have to appear in Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test. So I want its syllabus along with its official notification released by the Exam authority for the TNSET Exam. I am not able to fill offline application, so is there any process to apply online for TNSET Exam? Can the students who are pursuing PG Degree, apply for the Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test?

As per your concern I will gather details of Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (SET) , so that you can check it. Scheme of Exam The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 21st February 2016 (Sunday) in three separate sessions as under: Paper I [100 Marks; 60 out of which 50 questions to be attempted; Duration: 1¼ Hrs (09.30 am to 10.45 am)] Paper II [100 marks; 50 questions all are compulsory; Duration 1¼ Hrs (11.15 am to 12.30 pm)] Paper III [150 marks; 75 questions all are compulsory; Duration 2½ Hrs (02.00 pm to 04.30 pm) Application fee For General Candidates: Rs.1500/- For BC/MBC/DNC Candidates: Rs.1250/- For SC/ST/PWD-VI, HI, PH Candidates: Rs.500/- Eligibility Educational Qualification Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without grace or rounding off) in Master's Degree or equivalent examination is eligible for this test. The Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Physically Challenged (PC) / Visually Challenged (VC) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without grace or rounding off) in Master's Degree Examination are eligible for this Examination. Candidates who have appeared (or) will be appearing at the qualifying Master's Degree Examination and whose results are still awaited (or) candidates whose examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master's Degree examination (or) equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PC/VC category candidates). Such candidates must obtain their P.G. degree Mark sheet within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they will be treated as disqualified. The PhD degree holders whose Master's level examination had been completed by (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% to appear in SET Examination. Important: Candidates have to appear for SET in the subject of their Post Graduation only. Age Limits There is no Upper age limit to appear in TNSET Exam. |
