The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by the Anna University for the admission in various constituents and associated colleges of Tamil Nadu.

The admissions will be done only through the TNEA 2016 counselling conducted after the publication of the merit list.

TNEA 2016 Eligibility Criteria

12th or its equivalent examination from the well-recognized board with the minimum aggregate of 50% marks (for unreserved category), 45% (for backward class including Muslim), 40% (MBC & DNC) and 35% (for SC/ST/SCA) candidates in PCM subjects.

The candidates who are the native of Tamil Nadu

The aspiring candidates whose parents/guardians are working in the public/government sector for the last five years in Tamil Nadu are also eligible to apply.

Application form starts from: 15th April, 2016

Last date for registration/Filling of application form: 7 days from the date of publication of higher secondary result

Last date for receipt of filled-in-online application: 10 days from the date of publication of higher secondary result

Rank/Merit list publication date: few days after the result announcement

Counselling starts from: the starting month of July, 2016
