Exam Duration:
3hours and 30 minutes (three hours and thirty minutes)

Exam Mode Offline:
Online mode i.e. computer based test

Language of Paper English/Hindi:
The online question booklet was provided either in English or in Hindi according to the choice of candidates.

At the time of fiiling AIIMS MBBS Application Form candidates had to choose their question paper language preference (English/Hindi) they prefers to have during the online entrance test

Question Booklet:
There were different sets of question booklet and candidates got any of the set randomly

Types of question (MCQ):
The question were multiple choice and reason-assertion based. Candidates had to choose correct response from the given four options

Number of questions (200):
The online questions booklet of AIIMS MBBS 2016 had a total of 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology & Botany) and General Knowledge


Distribution of questions:
The AIIMS MBBS 2016 question paper had 60 questions from each section of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and 20 questions from General Knowledge. The distribution of question is shown below

Physics - 60

Chemistry - 60

Biology - 60

General Knowledge - 20

Marking Scheme:
Each question of AIIMS MBBS will be of 1 mark.
The total mark allotted for the exam is 200. For each correct response candidates will get 1 mark and -1/3 marks to be deducted for each incorrect response. No marks will be allotted for unmarked response

For correct answer: +1 marks

For incorrect answer: -1/3 (One third) mark is deducted
