The AIIMS MBBS entrance exam was conducted on May 29, 2016 for admission to 672 MBBS seats in 7 AIIMS like institutions.

Number of questions (200):
AIIMS MBBS had a total of 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology & Botany) and General Knowledge

Distribution of questions:
The AIIMS MBBS question paper had 60 questions from each section of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and 20 questions from General Knowledge.

Physics - 60
Chemistry - 60
Biology - 60
General Knowledge – 20

Marking Scheme:
Each question of AIIMS MBBS will be of 1 mark.
The total mark allotted for the exam is 200.
For each correct response candidates will get 1 mark and -1/3 marks to be deducted for each incorrect response.
No marks will be allotted for unmarked response
For correct answer: +1 marks
For incorrect answer: -1/3 (One third) mark is deducted
