AIDS Education and Training Cell was built up at Center for Community Medicine in November 1998. This cell is in continuation of the past NGO-AIDS cell which has stopped to exist w.e.f. September-October 1998.

The "AIDS Education and Training Cell" works in the regions of HIV/AIDS avoidance, instruction, preparing and directing. Dr. Bir Singh, Professor of Community Medicine is the Co-ordinator of this Cell.

Targets and Activities of this Cell are –

Planning, printing and spread of instructive/mindfulness material (Print, Audio and Video) on HIV/AIDS, Sex Education and Family Life Education amongst the distinguished groups/bunches.

Conduction of preparing projects on HIV/AIDS and Family Life Education for School and College Students, Communities and other distinguished gatherings.

Co-appointment and associations with different NGOs working in the region of HIV/AIDS and Family Life Education and giving them important specialized inputs to their working.

Give Educational and Counseling administrations in the territories of HIV/AIDS, Sex Education and Family Life Education.

Conduction of AIR/T.V. Programs in English/Hindi on HIV/AIDS, Sex Education, Family Life and Sexual Problems.
