Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is an online test hosts by BITS Pilani University for selection process or criteria for admission in UG (Under Graduation) Engineering Courses in it. Eligibility criteria for BITSAT The candidates who have qualified 10+2 examination from affiliated state board or central board with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects and have aggregate total minimum 75% in all these subjects are eligible to apply for the test. The aspirants also must have good command on English and at least 60% marks in each subject of Mathematics, Physics, and chemistry. Candidates who are appearing in the final exam of 12th standard or waiting for the result can also apply for BITSAT exam. Students who are presently studying under any of BITS Campus are not allowed to appear in the exam. BITSAT 2016 Events/Important Dates Last date to apply for BITSAT 2016 5th March 2016 (Extended till 8th March, 2016, 5 pm) Candidates can do revision/editing in the application form 6th – 7th March 2016 Allotment of test centere to applicants 8th March 2016 Applicants to reserve the exam date 21st March – 10th April 2016 Hall ticket along with instructions can be downloaded from 20th April – 30th April 2016 BITSAT online exam gets conducted on 14th May – 28th May 2016 Applicants can apply for admission along with 12th marks and preferences to degree programmes 20th May – 30th June 2016 Announcement of admit list and wait list 1st July 2016 BITSAT Test Pattern The BITSAT is computer based test that comprises 150 MCQs (multiple Choice Questions). The duration of exam is 3 hours. Each correct answer is rewarded with three marks while wrong answer gets one mark deducted from the score. There is no mark for an unanswered question. In case candidate can complete all the 150 questions before time, he can have the choice of 12 extra question from given segments and can try each of them. Though, if one attempts these twelve questions cannot return and make editions in the earlier 150 answers. All the questions and instruction about the test are provided in English language only. |
