The Department of Business Economics, University of Delhi offers B.A. (Hons) Business Economics (BBE) program of duration 2 years.

B.A. (Hons) Business Economics (BBE) program

The two-year full-time program in Business Economics is designed to meet the growing need for an analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving in the changing corporate world by the application of the latest techniques evolved in the fields of Economics and Business.

All students joining the course are required to undergo summer training for 6-8 weeks to put their theoretical concepts into practice.

Eligibility:

Senior Secondary School Examination (10 +2) of CBSE or any other examination considered equivalent by the University ofDelhi.

Candidate should have secured an aggregate of at least 60% marks in his/her XII class exam ination (55% for SC, ST, CW and PC categories) in four papers including English and Mathematics. The other two papers are to be selected from Sociology.

Candidate should have obtained pass m ark in each of the four papers considered for com puting the aggregate in the above mentioned subjects.

Selection Process

Written Joint Entrance Test

The University of Delhi will hold a Joint Entrance Test

Applicants shall be called for an objective type, multiple choice test

The written examination is designed to test the aptitude of the candidates

The following areas have been usually included in the entrance examination in the past. Quantitative Ability (Based on Mathematics upto class XII or its equivalent) Reasoning and Analytical Ability General English Business and General Awareness.

The candidate will be required to attem pt 120 questions in 120 minutes.

Each correct answer will get a score of plus 3 marks

Each wrong answer will get a score of minus 1 mark

The test shall be of two hour duration

Final selection for the course

The final selection of all candidates shall be based on the score com puted by giving equal weightage to the perform ance in Class XII examination and the performance in the joint entrance test.
