No buddy Common Admission Test is for admission to MBA program not for BTECH here I will get the details so that you can have idea. The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based selection test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for their business administration programs. Eligibility Hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Able (DA) category) The degree should be awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the program provisionally, only if she/he submits a certificate latest by June, 2016 from the Principal/Registrar of her/his College/Institute (issued on or before June, 2016) stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate. Fees The registration fee is Rs 1600 for General and NC-OBC candidates (Rs 800 for SC/ST/PWD (DA) categories). Additional charges are applicable on the final amount. Mode of Payment The test fee can be paid via Debit/Credit cards or through internet banking. The dates of online registration for CAT 2016 will be declared later. Exam Pattern The IIM CAT 2016 will be a 180 minute online assessment test and will have the following sections: Quantitative Aptitude section (34 questions) Verbal and reading comprehension (34 questions) Data interpretation and Logical reasoning(32 questions) The candidates can not switch between the sections while attempting the online test. For each section, they will get a sectional duration of 60 minutes. |
