Re: CAT Exam Easy Or Hard

CAT exam is an entrance exam for taking admission for management courses. If you got preparation for CAT and do prepare your self for this exam then this exam is easy for you.

You can go easy with the Quantitative Ability section if you are an engineer For this CAT exam not matter whether you are an engineer or not.

If you take the Common Admission Test (CAT) papers from say 5 years ago, the Quantitative Ability section used to be quite tough grilling you on the application of multiple concepts in a single question – something that the engineers found easier to crack as compared to their counterparts from the non-engineering backgrounds.

Practicing tough questions will help you more than practicing easier questions. Whether you find a particular question easy or difficult is dependent on your conceptual clarity

Some tips to crack it:

Begin with the solved examples in the book

Then move onto the unsolved examples

After you are well versed with the examples in the book, test yourself further by taking as many mock tests as possible to get used to this Computer Based Exam(CBT)

Finally resort to previous years' CAT papers and monitor your progress

Thereafter, practice and practice and practice more

Paper pattern:
This year CAT is going to have three sections instead of two:
Quantitative Ability (QA) with 34 Questions
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) with 32 questions
Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VRC) with 34 questions
