There is no TOEFL requirement for acceptance to the Intensive English Program at City College of San Francisco. All students take a placement test on the first day of the program. Then you will be placed in the correct level according to your score.

And the City College of San Francisco is accepting TOEFL scores if you have a TOEFL score of 473 paper-based (152 computer-based), iBT score of 52, or an IELTS score of 5.5.

If you do not have the score, you will have a chance to take the Institutional TOEFL exam at the end of each semester.

Students will first attend the Intensive English Program at City College of San Francisco (CCSF) and improve their English.

Then they will take the Institutional TOEFL Test.

If they get a TOEFL score of 473 or an ESL Placement of 150, they will be admitted to the Academic Program at CCSF for the following semester.

Students who want to enroll at CCSF but do not have the required TOEFL score of 473 PBT or iBT 52 or IELTS 5.5.
