The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) refers to uniform classification of five security powers in India under the specialist of Ministry of Home Affairs. They are the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Organisation and leadership

Each of the five CAPFs (the BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF and SSB) has its own framework of officers, yet they are going by officers of the Indian Police Service. They are named as Assistant Commandants and are Gazetted Officers for the most part alluded as DAGOs (Directly Appointed Gazetted Officers). DEGOs (Departmental Entry Gazetted Officers) are who have been advanced through departmental exams directed inside for Subordinate Officers.

Subordinate Officers

Sub Inspectors are enrolled through focused examination led by Staff Selection Commission and they are alluded as DASOs (Directly Appointed Subordinate Officers). DESOs (Departmental Entry Subordinate Officers) are who have been advanced through departmental exams led inside for Constables, Head Constables and Assistant Sub Inspectors.

Constables

Constables are enlisted through aggressive examination directed by Staff Selection Commission.

Aside from above modes, CAPFs direct enrollment for particular posts, for example, Engineers, Doctors and so on among DAGOs and Wireless administrators, Technicians, Nursing Staff and so on. among subordinate officers and constables straightforwardly under their own particular specialist.
