A. CNA stands for certified nursing agent. It is basically a course that trains the student in specializing nursing course that is mainly concern over about how to treat and take care of patients. There are various institute that are offering such types of training. One of the institutes is The American Red Cross. It is also known as the American National Red Cross. It is a humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief and education inside the United States.
The American Red Cross Certified Nurse Assistant Training Course (CNA) in Massachusetts will provide students the information and skills that will enable students to provide quality care for residents in nursing homes, for clients at home and patients in hospitals.
In addition to the perfection on skills such as bathing and bed making, the program focuses on providing concerned individualized care that adheres to the five principles of care: Safety, Privacy, Dignity, Communication and Independence.
Requirements: a student seekng for such training must posses follwing standards.
• Student Must be of 16 years of age.
• They Must attend an orientation and pass the Assessment Exam.
• They Must Present a copy of a current negative TB or Chest x-ray.
• They Should also Present current photo ID - Drivers License, Passport, or state issued ID card.
• A background check must be completed as a pre-condition to participate in the NAT/HHA program.
• Full payment must be paid due 7 days prior to the start of class.
• Uniform : They should wear Red scrub bottoms, White scrub top, white socks, white shoes or sneakers.
