Delhi Technological University (DTU) was formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE). It is a government university and is one of the oldest Engineering Colleges of India & first Engineering College of Delhi.

NRIs.
An individual is Non-Resident when he is “not a resident” or who is “not ordinarily resident”. A person is treated as “not ordinarily resident” when any of the following conditions is satisfied:

If he/she has not been resident in India in nine out of ten preceding years; or
If he/she has not been in India for a period of 730 days or more during the preceding seven years.

-Admission under this category shall be made on the basis of the merit as per score in SAT-II (scores with Physics and Mathematics) for B. Tech and GRE for M. Tech. courses.
-Any seats remaining unfilled from the NRI quota will be filled from the applicants for admission under Foreign nationals/Persons of Indian Origin as per the merit of the candidates subject to their eligibility for admission to the University.

B.Tech Eligibility for NRI:

Qualification--
-The candidates besides securing 60 percent or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics should have also secure a minimum of 50% SAT-II (Maths- level-II and Physics) score shall be eligible for admission to the first semester of Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) Courses
-Only those Non Resident Indians students who have studied from schools or colleges in foreign countries and passed the qualifying examinations i.e. second year Pre-university or XII standard or equivalent examination from a recognized university/Board will be eligible.
-Students passing the qualifying examination from Boards or universities located in foreign countries as external students and dependent of NRIs studying in India will not be included.

Age Requirements:
-Applicant must be 17 years of age
-Relaxation in minimum age in exceptionally meritorious cases may be granted with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor.

Admission Procedure:
Admission to B. Tech programs for NRI will be strictly on the basis of SAT-II (Maths- level-II and Physics) Score.
