Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) is a coal maker situated in India. The organization was established in 1975 after nationalization of coal mines in India. It acquired all the private part coal mines of the Raniganj coalfield. It is one of the eight completely possessed auxiliaries of Coal India Limited.

The organization has its central station at Sanctoria, Asansol, in West Bengal.

It at present claims 105 working mines, of which 81 are underground and 24 are opencast mines. The larger parts of its mines are in West Bengal, with some in the province of Jharkhand.
