As you want to know the about the eligibility criteria for the National Institute of Design, DAT for Bachelor of Design so here I am telling you about this: CRITERION 1 - AGE LIMIT - Upper age limit for candidates is 20 years of age (relaxable by three years for reserved category) CRITERION 2 - EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION - Applicant who have passed or will appear for the qualifying examinations under the higher secondary (10+2) from any recognized Board of Education such as AISSCE/IB/ICSE, or equivalents Examinations considered as equivalent to class XII are: - The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by a Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities - Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy. - Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. - Any Public School, Board or University examination in India or in a foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). - H.S.C. vocational examination. - General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. - High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. - Candidates who have completed Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII examination. Paper Pattern:- Design Aptitude Test (DAT) seeks evidence of Knowledge, Comprehension, Analysis, Reasoning, Problem Solving and Creativity in the applicant. There will be ONE question paper of 3 hours duration. The question paper will be in English. The question paper will carry a total of 100 marks, out of which Section A carrying 70 marks will be of multiple choice objective type questions and Section B carrying 30 marks will be of subjective type questions. All questions are compulsory. There will be no negative marking. Section A Total: 70 marks Multiple choice objective type questions varying from 0.5 marks to 4 marks each. Section B Total: 30 marks Subjective Type questions Problem solving and Creativity based questions test the candidates’ ability to judge, evaluate, integrate, hypothesize, design or construct. |
