Module II:

(13 Hours)Eigen values and Eigen vectors of Square Matrix – Cayley-Hamilton Theorem – Diagonalization of Square Matrices – Eigen value problem problems for Hermitian matrices – Quadratic forms – Reduction to Canonical forms – Definiteness of Quadratic forms.

Module III:

(14 Hours)Solution of Differential Equations in power series – Frobenius method – Bessel’s equation – Legendre’s equation – Bessel’s and Legendre’s functions Orthogonality – Generating functions – Recurrence relations – Solutions of system of Linear differential equations – Elimination methods – Matrix methods – Laplace Transform method.
