I.E.S is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.

No required percentage of CGPA is specified by the IES authorities


Educational qualification for IES Exam

A Bachelors degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent (B.E/B.Tech)

An M.Sc degree or equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects are acceptable for certain services / posts

A candidate of the following branches can apply :

Mechanical
Civil
Electrical
Electronics & Communication
or any equivalent qualification from a recognized University.

Age Criteria:

You should be between 21-30 years for GEN
21-33 years for OBC and
21-35 years for SC/ST candidates

Final year appearing students of engineering degree can also apply for IES.
