The Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-agent Limited (IFFCO) is one of the biggest makers of manure in India . The main plant of IFFCO was authorized at Kalol in November 1974 to deliver Ammonia. Urea plant was dispatched in January 1975, which started its business creation on first April 1975. Kalol plant has a limit of 300300 tones of smelling salts and 396000 tones Urea for each year

FFCO is wanting to set up a 1000 MW power plant at Kalol in Gujarat beside its urea plant with a venture of Rs. 40,000 million. The Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (GSPCL) will supply the gas required for the undertaking. Starting July 2006,

* The preparatory practicality study is finished.

* Detailed venture report is under readiness.

* The Rapid Environment Impact Assessment (REIA) and the Comprehensive Environment Impact Assessment (CEIA) studies are in progress.
