Dates for the application
10/10/17: Call-for-Applications (Formal Announcement).
23/10/17: Application portal is live for application submission
11/11/17: Last date for online application submission
17/11/17: Notification to candidates to be invited for interview and optionally, written test
4/12/17 - 8/12/17: Week of written entrance examination (as required specifically by research domains) and interviews.
15/12/17: Notification to admitted candidates+ sending admission offer letters
22/12/17: Last date for remittance of acceptance fees by the admitted candidates
2/1/2017: Joining date: orientation and course registration begins.
2/1/2018: Classes begin for Term II (2017-18).

Eligibility
The minimum qualification for admissions to the M.S. by Research program is a four-year bachelors degree in engineering (B.E., B.Tech. or equivalent) and that for the Ph.D. programme is a masters degree in engineering (M.E., M.Tech., or equivalent, or M.S. by Research).

M.S. by Research and Ph.D. degree programs are aligned with the research domains at IIITB.

Hence there are several requirements specific to research domains which have been specified in the announcement.

Selection
The University accepts GATE/GRE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/JRF/JEST scores for admission to MS and PhD programs.

In certain specific circumstances, IIIT-B may conduct its own entrance exam.
