IIM-Bangalore (IIMB) was founded in 1973 and is the third IIM to be established after IIM-Ahmedabad and IIM-Calcutta.

Shortlisting criteria :
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. In case of the Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) category, this is relaxed to 45%. Applicants may possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Applicants appearing for the final year bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. The Applicants is required to have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of Applicants belonging to SC/ST/DA category) based on latest available grades/marks

Admission Procedure

The first stage is appearing for the CAT Exam conducted by the IIMs (GMAT for international Applicants).

On clearing the required cut-offs and the composite score, a Applicants is called for Written Test and Personal Interview (PI). The Applicants must provide 2 letters of recommendation from people who know them closely for academic and professional validation.

The final offers of admission to Applicants in each category will be made strictly on the basis of the final aggregate score, taking into account various weights.
