Re: IIT Madras MME
The Department of Metallurgical and Materials was set up in 1959 as Department of Metallurgy and was renamed as Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 2003. The department has 30 dynamic employees, with their educating, research and consultancy exercises in different regions extending from regular metallurgy to wildernesses of materials science. The division offers B.Tech, M.Tech, M.S and PhD degrees. The department keeps on taking a stab at brilliance and understanding its vision of turning into a main office in the nation for educating, research and consultancy in the rising zones of material science and building while at the same time solidifying its quality in customary territories of metallurgical designing.
