Built up in 1955, the School of International Studies is the most seasoned school of the University. Amid the forty-six years of its reality, the School has set up itself as one of the chief establishments in the nation for the investigation of universal relations and range thinks about.

The School has made spearheading commitments in advancing the investigation of worldwide relations as a scholastic teach in India and in propelling learning and comprehension of global undertakings in a between disciplinary viewpoint.

In the first place, the School was associated to the University of Delhi. From September 1961 till the School was converged with the Jawaharlal Nehru University in June 1970, it worked as a considered college. Following the merger, the prefix "Indian" was dropped from the name of the School and it turned into the School of International Studies of the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

By and by, there are 75 employees in the School, including 40 teachers, 27 relate educators and 7 colleague educators. We likewise have 5 Emeritus Professors and Distinguished Scholars in the School. In addition, there are 3 inquire about officers/documentation officers.
