One who has a valid GATE score is eligible to apply for the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Roorkee M. Tech admission. There will be a written exam for those candidates who are aiming to seek admission in M. Tech in Paper Technology.

The final merit list is prepared on the basis of the GATE normalized score and interview. One is called for interview. The short listed candidates will have to undergo counselling and pay the admission fees after seat allotment.

IIT Roorkee M. Tech Eligibility Criteria

One belonging to Other Backward Class (OBC) and General category must have scored at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.00 on a 10 point scale at the undergraduate engineering level programme.

One belonging to Schedule Caste (SC) and Schedule tribe (ST) category need to score at least 55% or CGPA of 5.50 on a 10 point scale

Final year undergraduate engineering students are eligible to apply. However, will be admitted provisionally and have to produce the proof that have cleared the qualifying degree and have secured the necessary percentage by the specified dates

10 % of seats are reserved for one who have graduated from IITs and have a minimum CGPA of 8.00 on a 10 point scale. Such applicants are exempt from the GATE criterion.

One who possess the below mentioned degree and have minimum 3 years research, teaching or other professional experience are also eligible to apply:

Grad IETE
B.Sc. or Diploma in engineering
