The UPSC conducts the NDA (National Defence Academy) exam, clearing which you undergo a 3 year training at NDA, Khadakwasla, followed by flying training at Air Force Training establishments. Eligibility: Education Any post graduate can apply if they have secured minimum 50% and their age is between 20-27 years. Women applying for this post should have minimum height of 152 cms. There are three programs available: i) Flying Branch ii) Technical Branch iii) Ground Duty Branches There are two types of Commissions i) Permanent Commission: candidates under this commission will continue till the age of superannuation ii) Short Service Commission: engagement period for Flying Branch is 14 years and for Technical and ground Duty branches it is initially 10 years that can be extended for another 4 years. The duration of the training for Flying and Technical Branches is 74 weeks and for Ground Duty Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments. Important Dates 1.
