No , the Karur Vysya Bank is Not a Schedule Commercial Bank It is a an Indian private-sector bank, headquartered in Karur in Tamil Nadu. It was set up in 1916 by M. A. Venkatarama Chettiar and Athi Krishna Chettiar.

It has 735 branches and network of 1748 ATM's and around 446 cash deposit machines as on APR 20 2017.KVB total business till June 2016 was around 92000 crores

Key Financial :

The Net Profit for FY16-17 was Rs. 605.98 cr.
The net owned funds of the bank are Rs. 4845.02 cr.
The capital adequacy ratio of the Bank stood at 12.54% (Basel III) which is well above the regulatory requirement of 9%.
The Net NPA was at 2.53%.
The bank has been earning profits since inception and has been declaring dividend uninterruptedly.
The bank has declared 100% or more dividends since 2003-04. Between 2007-08 and 2010-11, the dividend was 120%. While for 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2015-16, dividend was 140%, 130% dividend was declared for 2013-14 and 2014-15. For 2016-17, dividend declared is 130%.
