The General Principles standard operative procedures followed for general and plastic surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi are: a) Standardized procedures to be followed b) Meticulous and clean working habits. In case of Spillages - cover with 0.5-1% Hypochlorite or bleach or 3% lysol. c) Proper area for discard d) Hand Washing with soap and water before leaving the laboratory . e) Proper entry and labelling of samples after receiving and timely dispatch f) Verbal reports to be discussed only with the treating clinician.
