Is Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowship offered to Engineering Students ? if yes how much amount of fellowship is given ?

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowship is an National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences.

It is not for Engineering Students.

This fellowship is initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Eligibility :
Candidates who enrolled for 11th science stream or enrolled for 12th science stream or enrolled for 1st year of undergraduate program in Basic Sciences eligible for this fellowship.

Advantage of being KVPY scholar

Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 .
An annual contingency grant of Rs 20,000 during 1st to 3rd year of their undergraduate programs.

Students of Integrated M.Sc. or M.Sc programs in Basic Sciences will receive a monthly stipend of :
Rs 7,000
An annual contingency grant of Rs 28,000 in their 4th and 5thyear.

Candidates can also get access to libraries and laboratory facilities of Universities and National Laboratories.

Selected students get opportunity to attend summer camps at the prestigious research and educational institutions of India
