Number Of Students Appearing For KVPY
I want to know the total number of students appearing for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exam? The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences conducted by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Every year around 40,000 students appear for the exam. Out of this huge number of candidates only around 400 students are entitled as KVPY scholars Fellowships - Basic Sciences Monthly Fellowship Annual Contingency Grant SA (After Class X) Rs. 4000/- Rs. 16000 SX/SB (Class XII & during 1st to 3rd years of – B.Sc./B.S. /Integrated M.Sc. /M.S. ) Rs.5000 Rs. 20000 SX /SB - during M. Sc. / 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc. /M.S Rs. 7000 Rs.28000 Selection Procedure- Aptitude Test: The written test (multiple choice) is normally conducted in the first week of November at different centers across the country The test is of maximum marks 100 with 80 to 90 questions with no negative marking and the weight age of the test is 50%. Interview: Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students are invited for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure.
