The eligibility requirement and other related information for admission in LLB or Bachelor of Laws program as offered by Utkal University are as follows:

Eligibility :

a. One is if passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (at least 10+2+3 pattern ) securing a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the Final (Degree) mark sheet

OR

Any other Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India securing a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years.

b. One should not be more than 30 years of age for general and 35 years of age for SCs & STs as on July l st of the year of seeking admission.

c. Total seats available in the I Semester class of 3 year LLB (Hons.) course are 80 out of which (20%) 16 seats for SCs/STs and (3%) 2 seats for Orthopedically Handicapped persons shall be reserved.

Admission Procedure :
Selection of the students shall be made strictly on the basis of Career-Cum—Entrance Test. As per the following mark break-up :

a H.S.C./Equivalent : 10 Marks
b. +2 Arts/Science/Commerce/Equivalent : 20 Marks
c. +3 Arts/Science/Commerce : 30 Marks
d. Entrance Test(General English & G.K) : 40 Marks

Reservation / Weightages :
Reservation of seats will be as follows:

1. 8% of the seats for the SC and 12% for ST (interchangeable). In case of non- availability of candidates in one of these categories, seats will be filled up from the candidates of the other category.

2. 3% of the total number of seats will be reserved for physically handicapped students at the time of admission.

In case of non-availability, the seats will be filled-up from the merit list.

Weightage for Sports persons:
Those who have represented the State during last three years at National Level sports
All the Sports Certificate will be verified by the Sports Council of Utkal University
