The LPU-40 Flotation Collar is a buoyancy gadget intended to help air crew members stranded in water. The neckline is connected to the air crew member's flight vest. It gives a least of 65 pounds of buoyancy lightness and is intended to keep the client's head over the water for a broadened timeframe.

The LPU-40 is pressed in a position of safety packaging made of fireproof Nomex® that is intended to open when the double chambered bladder swells. A solitary draw beaded handle, when physically pulled, actuates two 29-gram CO2 gas cartridges for swelling.

Two oral swelling tubes enable the client to physically expand, diminish, or keep up the gaseous tension in the bladder chambers.

Attaching the Collar to the Vest

The neckline joins to the vest with a MOLLE Strap framework and has four connection ties: two on the highest point of the neckline, and two on the base.

The connection focuses for the highest point of the neckline are on the back of the vest. The connection focuses for the base of the neckline are on the front of the vest at chest level.

Append the highest point of the neckline to the vest first. String the MOLLE lashes on the neckline through the directed webbing on the vest and secure the Pull-the-Dot latches.

Each lash has two Pull-the-Dot clasp. Guarantee that every one of the four Pull-the-Dot latches is attached.

Attaching the base

The base connection is strung through four webbing ties on each side of the vest. On each side of the vest, weave the MOLLE lash through the initial two channels on the vest and neckline. String just the neckline lash through the last vest channel. Wrap the lash around the vest channel what's more, secure the Pull-the-Dot clasp. Tuck the finish of the end tab underneath the neckline packaging.
