Entry requirement:

For admission into the Master of Information Science (Library Science) programme, applicants must have at least:

A Bachelor’s degree with Honours with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or equivalent; or
A Bachelor’s degree with work experience of at least three (3) years in a library or an information centre;

or

A Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Malaya or a postgraduate diploma in a field related to Library Studies or Information Science from another accredited institution; or
Other qualifications approved by the University Senate.

Applicants with a Bachelor’s CGPA of 2.7-2.99 can be considered if they meet at least one of the following criteria:

a. Have relevant work experience;
b. Have published in respective fields;
c. Are recipients of scholarship;
d. Are graduates of the University of Malaya.
