The MBA (Master in Business Administration) in Pharmacy Program offered by University of Alberta is an intensive program. Success requires a high scholastic aptitude, a superior command of English communication skills and strong time-management abilities. Admission to the Alberta MBA Program is highly selective. Entrance Requirements Undergraduate Degree To be considered, an applicant should hold a four-year undergraduate degree from a recognized institution with a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0 In completing the online application, one will be required to scan and upload each page (front and back) of most up-to-date official academic documents in PDF version: Transcripts or Marksheet in Original Language Marksheet in English Translation (if original is not in English) Degree Certificate in Original Language Degree Certificate in English Translation (if original is not in English) Work Experience The admission committee gives strong consideration to professional experience and early career accomplishments, including potential for career growth and advancement. One will ideally possess at least two years of full-time work experience after completion of an undergraduate degree. Alberta MBA students possess an average of five years of work experience. Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) The GMAT is a requirement for all applicants and we will not consider applications without a GMAT score. Ideally, one will submit a minimum GMAT score of 550. English Language Proficiency (ELP) The language of instruction at the University of Alberta is English. One who does not hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution in which the language of instruction is English are required to provide an official result from a test of English language proficiency. English language proficiency by achieving the following minimum scores: TOEFL: 600 (paper-based test), or 100 (internet-based test) IELTS (Academic): Overall band score of 7.0, with at least 5.5 on each band PTE (Academic): Overall score of 68 CAEL: Overall minimum of 60, with at least 60 on each subtest MELAB: minimum of 85 Letters of Reference One needs to submit two letters of reference. These assist the School in evaluating the candidate's managerial, administrative, and academic skills. Letters of reference will ideally be professional, with at least one from a current or past supervisor. Statement of Intent The statement of intent introduces you to the Admissions Committee as an individual, and not only showcases personality but how one is unique as compared to other applicants with a similar profile. Admission Interviews One admitted are interviewed at least once, with there typically being two admissions interviews. Both interviews are by invitation only. The first involves a request for a Kira Talent video interview. The second admissions interview is typically conducted either in-person or over Skype with a member of the Admissions Committee.
