I want to get the details of Municipal Corporation Khanna so can you please provide me the details of the Corporation?

Municipal Corporation Khanna was established in 1931.

Khanna town is consists of 27 wards and each ward is represented by a Municipal Councilor who is elected by the voters of that particular ward

Municipal Councilors are responsible for the overall development of the town and for providing the basic amentias to the residents of the Khanna

The main problem of the town is disposable of the sullage water

For this problem municipal Council has undertaken a major project for disposal of sullage water and to lay sewerage lines in 100% area of the town for this a 17 Km long sullage carrier is under construction the total Cost of the project is 1589.65 lakhs and another project of laying water Supply lines in 100% area of the town is undertaken with a cost of 559.40 lakhs.

The main source of income of the Municipal Council is VAT ( Value Added Tax) which is sent from Government in place of abolish of octri collection and other sources of income are Building application fees, House Tax, License fee and water Supply and Sewerage user charges.
