According to me there is no changes yet made in National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), to clear your doubt I will gather information about the exam. Exam pattern NTSE Stage-I examination at State/UT level are advised to follow National pattern which comprise of two parts MAT and SAT. Part-I: Mental Ability Test (MAT) Part-II: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) also includes Language Comprehensive Test. NTSE Stage II Exam Pattern Paper I : Mental Ability Test (MAT) No. of Questions: 50 No. of Marks: 50 Duration: 45 Min Paper II : Language Test (LT) English/Hindi No. of Questions: 50 No. of Marks: 50 Duration: 45 Min Paper III : Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) No. of Questions: 100 No. of Marks: 100 Duration: 90 Min Scholarship Criteria Candidates who will pursue further studies in Science, Humanities, Languages, Commerce, vocational studies and Fine Arts will be awarded scholarship amount till Ph.D level Candidates who study professional programmes i.e. Medicine, Engineering, Technology, Management and Law are provided scholarship amount till their second degree level or postgraduate programme Participating States Andhra Pradesh Andaman & Nicobar Islands Arunachal Pradesh Assam Bihar Chandigarh Chhattisgarh Dadra & Nagar Haveli Daman & Diu Delhi Haryana Himachal Pradesh Gujarat Goa Jammu & Kashmir Jharkhand Karnataka Kerala Lakshadweep Madhya Pradesh Maharashtra Manipur Meghalaya Mizoram Nagaland Odisha Puducherry Punjab Rajasthan Sikkim Tamil Nadu Telangana Tripura Uttarakhand Uttar Pradesh West Bengal Selection Process There will be two-stage selection process for award of scholarship. For Stage-I, selection will be done by States/UTs through a written examination. Students who qualify Stage I will be eligible to appear for Stage II examination conducted by NCERT. Qualifying marks for candidates from General category is 40% in each paper and for candidates from SC, ST, PH is 35% in each paper. Language Test : Qualifying in nature and marks obtained for language test will not be counted for final merit The States/UTs will also conduct the selection test for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme along with the Stage-I written examination for NTS. |
