The Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Exam is conducted by the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Assam for Teachers for class 1-5 and class 1-8 in Govt Schools in Assam.

Assam TET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be Graduate from a recognized University with B.T/B. Ed. from a recognized University and should possess requisite qualification for relevant subjects.

Degrees served from off Campus Centres shall not be accepted.

Degrees means a Bachelor degree, no equivalence will be allowed.

Age Limit:

Candidates should not be more than 38 years of age

Upper age limit for candidates of SC/ST category is relax able by 5 years.

Applicants must be citizens of India.

Assam TET Exam Pattern

Exam will have two papers, Paper 1 for class 1-5 and paper 2 for class 6-8.

Both the papers will have 200 questions for 1 mark each.
