Under the 11th Five Year Plan sanctioned by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, (D.O No F9-6/2008 (XI Plan), dated 11.7.2009) Coaching Schemes for UGC NET Exam is being run by Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur: • Coaching Schemes for:- 1. Scheduled Castes, 2. Scheduled Tribes, 3. OBC (Non-Creamy layer) 4. Minorities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Boudh, Parsi) 5. Poor (BPL) 6. All women students Coaching for A) Remedial Coaching- • Remedial Coaching is organized at Under-graduate and Postgraduate level – I To improve the academic skills and linguistic proficiency of the students. II To raise their level of comprehension of basic subjects to provide stronger foundation. III To strengthen their knowledge, skill and attitudes in subject. IV To provide career guidance and psychological counselling B) Entry into Services Coaching Scheme for entry into service is organized with an objective: I. To prepare students to gain useful employment in Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ in •Central Services •State Services • Private sectors. II. To orient students for particular examination conducted for selection to services such as IAS, State Public Services, Bank Requirement etc. III. To focus on the specific requirements of a particular competitive examination. C) NET & SET Coaching • The schemes are to prepare the candidates for appearing in NET (National Eligibility Test) ii) SET (State Eligibility Test) • So that sufficient number of candidates become available for selection as Asst. Professor in the universities & colleges. Coaching classes are organized – - At evening during working days. - In vacations depending on the convenience of the candidates as well as faculty members. The following methods are used for classes- • Class work. • Tutorials work. • Assignments followed by discussion. • Face to face interaction.    |
