Well below I have given you the syllabus for the Punjabi University BA part 2 so you can have a look SYLLABUS (PSYCHOLOGY) B.A. PART-II: For 2012, 2013 and 2014 Examinations THEORY PAPER-I: EXPERIMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY-A Max. Marks: 70 Lectures to be delivered: 75 Pass Marks: 25 Time Allowed: 3 hours INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PAPER-SETTER The question paper will consist of Five sections: A, B, C, D and E. Sections A, B, C, and D will have two questions in each, out of which one question has to be attempted. Each question will carry 10 marks. Section E will consist of 15 short answer type questions which will cover the entire syllabus uniformly and will carry 30 marks in all. Each short answer type question carrying 2 marks. The candidates are required to answer each short type question in 50 words, i.e., in 5 lines. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES Candidates are required to attempt one question each from the sections A, B, C and D of the question paper and the entire section E. Candidates are required to answer each short type question in 50 words, i.e., in 5 lines. SECTION-A Nature & Scope of Experimental Psychology: Nature & Types of Variables: Qualitative Variables, Quantitative Variables and Control of Extraneous Variables. SECTION-B Memory: Sensory, Short Term and Long Term Memory; Levels of Processing and Encoding; Measures of Memory; Nature & Causes of Forgetting. SECTION-C Learning: Trial & Error, Gestalt Approach. Classical Conditioning, Instrumental Conditioning. SECTION-D Statistics: Properties of Normal Probability Curve, Hypotheses, Degrees of Freedom, Levels of Significance, One tailed and Two tailed Tests. t-test (independent and related groups) Chi Square -Application to One Way and Two Way Classification.
