Dozens of trainees join ABN AMRO every year, on their way to a career in the financial services industry.

They’re all enterprising people, with hearts as well as brains. They’re highly talented individuals who are keen to excel, preferably as part of a team and never at the expense of others.

Traineeship program

The programme starts with a central kick-off. For a week, you will spend a lot of time with your fellow trainees.

You’ll start in your preferred specialist field straightaway, where you can get your teeth into a challenging assignment from day one.

Make no mistake: the level is demanding. That’s why you will be coached intensively, and you will not be alone. You’ll work together with the most diverse people.

You will receive support from several people during your traineeship:

Mentor - Your sounding board during your traineeship.
Trainer - For your personal development.
Assignment Supervisor - Your immediate supervisor on the work floor.

They will help you find your way through the organisation, outline the possible career paths open to you and provide you with intensive support.

Fields

The details and duration of your Corporate Banking Graduate Programme depend on the direction you choose.

Within this programme, you can choose from the following five fields:

Corporate Finance: You’ll be part of a deal team working on mergers, acquisitions and capital transactions.

Structured Finance: You’ll advise companies on complex capital and liquidity structures and the best combination of debt products.

Global Sector: You’ll advise companies on the ins and outs of tailor-made financial solutions for the energy, commodities and transportation sectors.

Global Markets: You’ll work on a wide range of financing and risk management solutions at the sales and trading desks of the dealing room.

Real Estate Clients: You’ll work on the financing and sustainability of commercial real estate.
