Educational Qualification for WBBPE Primary TET

Only those persons who have passed Higher Secondary (12th Class) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, EC, Ex-Serviceman and DH Category candidates) OR Graduation from any recognized University


Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern of West Bengal Primary Teacher Eligibility Test

1. Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Marks
2. First Language: 30 Marks
3. Second Language: 30 Marks
4. Mathematics: 30 Marks
5. Environmental Studies: 30 Marks

Total Marks 150 and Time 90 minutes (One and a half hour).

First Language: Applicants will have to choose any one of the following languages as first language: Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, Santhali, Oriya and Telugu. The choice will be on the basis of the medium of instruction in the school.

Second Language: English for all.
