I want to get admission in B.Tech in Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) so can you tell me the eligibility criteria for admission?

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) offers admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programmes in two branches and in dual degree programme. Candidates have to qualify JEE Main and appear in JEE Advanced exam for admission in B.Tech. IIST B.Tech Admission Programs- 4-Year B.Tech - Aerospace Engineering 4-Year B.Tech - Avionics 5-Year Dual Degree (B.Tech + MS/M.Tech) IIST B.Tech Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must have passed any one of the following exams with 3 subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics- Candidates are required to obtain at least 70% score in PCM (60% for SC/ST/PD candidates) List of Qualifying Examinations: 10+2 exam from any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi; Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi etc. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination held by a recognized Board/University Vocational Higher Secondary Examination Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects Final exam of 2-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country that is recognized as equal to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at advanced (A) level Age limit- Applicants, who belong to General category and Other Backward Classes, must have been born on or after October 1, 1991. Those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PD) categories must have their date of birth on or after October 1, 1986. Only citizens of India can apply JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) - Applicants must have appeared in JEE Main (conducted by CBSE) and qualified in it for appearing in the next level- JEE Advanced They must have obtained the minimum score in JEE Advanced as specified below (category wise)- General Candidates (GEN): Minimum 20% marks in total (i.e.74 marks out of 372) and minimum 5% marks in each (i.e. 6 marks out of 124) of the three subjects- PCM SC, ST & PD Candidates: Minimum 10% marks in total (i.e.37 marks out of 372) and minimum 2.5% marks (i.e. 3 marks out of 124) in each of the three subjects- PCM Other Backward Community- Non Creamy Layer OBC (NCL) Candidates: Minimum 18% marks in total (i.e. 66 marks out of 372) and minimum 4.5% marks (i.e. 5 marks out of 124) in each of the three subjects- PCM Contact- Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Valiamala Road, Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala 695547 |
