What is TOEFL PBT
What do you mean by PBT in TOEFL exam manner , will you plz let me know as my one of the friend asking me for the same here ?

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) is a four-section assessment that is offered in places where the TOEFL internet-based test (iBT) is not available. The PBT is taken by just 3% of students who choose the TOEFL for their English-language requirements. The TOEFL® paper-based test (PBT) If the TOEFL iBT is available in your country you need to take that instead. The Paper-based test has the following format: Time Limit No. of Questions Listening Comprehension 30-40 minutes 50 Structure and Written Expression Free practice tests 25 minutes 40 Reading Comprehension 55 minutes 50 Writing (Test of Written English) 30 minutes 1 topic Exam profile Type Internet-based or paper-based standardized test. Developer / administrator Educational Testing Service Knowledge / skills tested Reading, listening, speaking and writing of the English language. Purpose To assess the English language proficiency of non-native English speakers. Year started 1964; 53 years ago Duration Internet-based test (iBT): 3 hours 10 minutes to 4 hours 20 minutes (excluding 10-minute break in-between). Paper-based test (PBT): 2 hours 20 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. Score / grade range iBT: 0 to 30 (in 1 point increments) on each of the 4 sections. So total of 0 to 120. PBT: Listening: 31 to 68, Structure: 31 to 69, Reading: 31 to 67. Total of 310 to 677. Writing (separate): 0 to 6. (All in 1 point increments.) Score / grade validity 2 years |
