Goa CET 2016 – Goa Common Entrance Test

Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2015GCET 2016 is the Goa Common Entrance Test, to be conducted by DTE Goa.

Admissions to Professional courses
MBBS
BDS
BHMS
Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)
Allied Health Sciences, B.Sc in Nursing (at Institute of Nursing Education, Bambolim)
BE & B.Pharm in colleges of Goa will be done on the basis of GCET 2016.


GCET Eligibility Criteria


For admission to Professional Degree courses, an candidate should fulfill the following criteria:

Nationality:

Admission to professional courses in State of Goa is open to Indian nationals fulfilling the eligibility criteria under a variety of categories.

Non-resident Indians holding Indian passport can also apply for seats reserved under NRI category.

Abroad Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders are considered eligible for admissions to seats under NRI Category only.

Foreign Nationals should apply to Govt. of India.

Age:

A candidate to Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing should have competed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year of admission to become eligible for admission to First Year.

No age limit, minimum or maximum, is specified for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture.

Valid Score at GCET 2016:

An applicant for Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Pharmacy, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing should have appeared and obtained valid score at the Goa Common Entrance Test GCET conducted by Government of Goa for the year of admission.

GCET score of the earlier year/s shall not be valid.

For Medicine and Dentistry Degree courses, minimum GCET score must be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and 45% for candidates belonging to PH category.) aggregate in specified subjects.

No minimum limit is specified for other courses.

An candidate for Degree Course in Architecture must have appeared and obtained valid score at NATA conducted by Council of Architecture.

(with additional late fees of Rs. 1000/-) 29 Apr 2016

Expected date of result of GCET 18 May 2016
