All applicants in Graduate School in Auburn University need to submit an Official score on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) directly from the Education Testing Service or IELTS (International English Language Testing System). Exemptions are considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on their official government language and medium of instruction. --Applications cannot be considered until one of these test scores are received in the office of the Graduate School. Minimum Test Scores: TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language 550 on the paper-based test (pBT), 213 on the computer-based test (cBT) 79 on the Internet-based test (iBT) Additionally, successful applicants must score a minimum of 16 on all sections (listening, reading, speaking, and writing) of the iBT. TOEFL exemptions are made on a case-by-case basis, depending on your official government language and medium of instruction. Applicants who have received a degree from an accredited U.S. institution may also be considered for this exemption. IELTS - International English Language Testing System 6.5 overall band score. GRE or GMAT scores will be evaluated in conjunction with your previous academic record. Application Fee A $70 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee must accompany application. One can pay online via Credit Card at the end of the application process. The Graduate School accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Applications and records are not processed until the application fee has been received. Applicants from Iran, Nigeria, North Korea and Russia may have difficulty when paying the application fee via credit card.
