IUCAA Summer School
I am planning to join Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) summer school of Savitribai Phule Pune University.Will you tell which types of summer courses available here and what eligibility to apply for that course also institute contact details? The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) is an autonomous institution set up by UGC to promote nucleation and growth of active groups in astronomy and astrophysics in Indian universities. About Summer School: The summer school will be held for five weeks during May-June of every even-numbered year. It is designed to introduce students to the exciting fields of astronomy and astrophysics (A+A) The school will consist of lectures covering the fundamentals of A+A as well as recent developments in the field. In addition, participants may take part in individual projects under suitable guidance. Eligibility: Students completing 2nd year of BE/B.Tech/Integrated M.Sc or B.Sc or are eligible to apply. Location: Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune Duration: 1 month (May 16 – June 17, 2016) Financials: The selected students will be provided with travel, boarding and lodging for the duration of the school.
