The Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) is an independent establishment set up by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to advance the nucleation and development of dynamic gatherings in stargazing and astronomy at Indian colleges.

IUCAA means to be a centre point of fabulousness inside the college part to teach, innovative work in space science and astronomy.

About Internship:

The IUCAA Pune Summer Internship program is held yearly, for a span of 7 weeks, amid May-July. In 2017, it will be held amid May 15 – June 30.

Understudies chose under the IUCAA Pune Summer Internship burn through seven weeks at IUCAA chipping away at particular research ventures directed by IUCAA Academic Members.

The program closes with course introductions in view of the tasks done by the members.

Who can apply: Only understudies who are in:

– M.Sc. – First Year (material science/connected arithmetic/stargazing/hardware)

– Integrated M.Sc. – third and fourth Year

– B.Tech. /B.E. – third and last year

Span: 7 Weeks – (May 15 – June 30, 2017)

Stipend:

a) Participants will paid a stipend of Rs.10,000/ -

b) Free cabin on the IUCAA grounds will be given.

c) Reimbursement of worthless (non-A/C) return railroad charge will be given.
