As per your request I am posting some important dates related to exam and other details which I hope you like :

Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) conducts its Primary and Mains exams for the recruitment to IAS, IPS, IFS Group 'A' and some Group 'B' services.

Important Tentative Dates for CS (Primary Exam) 2015

Preliminary Exam: Last week of August 2015
Mains Exam: (Tentative) December 2015

Eligibility:
Candidate should be a citizen of India.
A candidate must be at least 21 years of age and less than 31 years of age
A candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university or a deemed university.
A candidate appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree and awaiting result, can also apply,
A candidate who has their professional and technical qualification degree from recognized can also apply.

Syllabus:
Paper I : General Studies (GS) - 200 marks - 2 hours

Subject Area
Current events of national & international importance
History of India and Indian National Movement
Indian and World Geography - Phsical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the world
Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Right Issues, etc.
Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
General issues on Environmentel Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialisation
General Science
Negative Marking: 1/3rd of marks allotted for every question

Paper II : Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT) - 200 marks - 2 hours

Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical Reasoning & Analytical Ability
Decision-making & Problem-solving
General Mental Ability
Basic Numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (CLass X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency, etc. - Class X Level)
English Language Comprehension Skills (Class X Level)
Negative Marking: 1/3rd of marks allotted for every question

Selection Process:
The Civil Services Exam is a paper based test and consists of two stages:
(i)Preliminary Examination (Objective type) comprising 2 exams : General Studies and CSAT
(ii)Civil Services Main Examination (Written and Interview)

The application charge for male candidates is Rs. 100/- and there is no application charge for female and SC / ST / Physically Handicapped candidates.
